What’s the difference between a good audition and a great one?

For me, it’s inspiration.

Is this person before me trying to get the job or are they ignited by the material they’ve been asked to prepare? Does what they do influence my thinking of the material? Does it have the potential to spur collaborators and audiences alike? Whether you're a professional or nascent in your craft, inspiration can be hard to find and easy to lose.

This is where I can help.

The goal with any performer I work with is to inspire. I bring over 15 years of experience and insights from theater, film, TV, and academia  to our sessions that will help you make thrilling choices rooted in your unique POV that highlights your strengths. Each session will be tailored to your needs. I strive for you to leave our sessions with tools and feedback that will serve you well beyond our time together. In other words, to spur people to take ownership of their thoughts and actions

What I offer:

  • Personal guidance in audition preparation for theater, on-camera, and admission into professional undergraduate and graduate training programs

  • Detailed feedback on audition tapes and self-tapes

  • In-depth script analysis for more dynamic performances

  • Tailored exercises to strengthen voice and body connection

  • Help with monologue selection and polishing

  • Coaching for callbacks and chemistry reads

  • Building confidence in improvisation and spontaneous choices.

“I’ve had the honor of being coached by Terrence on several auditions. His insightful feedback and tailored approach helps one make strong choices as a performer and boosts confidence. Terrence makes the work exciting and creates a collaborative supportive environment that challenges and grows you as an artist. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to elevate their work, dig deep, and create well rounded characters.

-LaNisa Renee Frederick (HASHTAG BOOKED, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”)

“Terrence has a way of communicating with actors few possess. His toolbox as an actor and director exposes and pushes you to a level of artistry that is free and unique to you. He is patient but relentless in his pursuit of the truth. If you want to develop your craft and approach to your work, I can’t think of anyone more capable.”

-John Clay III (POWER Book III: Raising Kanan, Original Cast “New York, New York”, “Choir Boy” on Broadway)

“I often seek outside guidance, advice, and ideas before big auditions, callbacks, and jobs. Terrence is the first person I go to. It always feels like a joyful collaboration with him. His incredibly-wide breadth of experience always helps me think outside of the box and leaves me feeling prepared and confident to approach literally any type of material or situation. He has the most extensive training and professional experience across the widest range of theatre styles, writers, and time periods of anyone I’ve ever worked with. There’s never any judgment from Terrence, just pure curiosity and collaboration. What an incredible resource he has been and continues to be for me.”
